[Taiwan] TIPO-KIPO Permanent PPH MOTTAINAI Program has come into effect

The Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot program between Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) and Korea Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) which was expired on June 30, 2020, has been restarted since July 1, 2020 and become permanent.
Taiwan and Korea have been intimate partner in aspect of economy and trade. Seeing the activeness of Korea in patent application filings in Taiwan, the two intellectual property offices have conducted the PPH pilot program since July 1, 2015. Apparently, the PPH program shows impressive outcome in accelerating the examination and receive good feedback from the applicants of two territories. As such, the TIPO and KIPO have agreed to replace the current pilot program with a permanent PPH program by the time it expires.
